Try Archery Class - $15

 1 class only, 1 hour - for new students

 

Call to set up a time.

 

 

Beginner’s / Level 1 Class

 (prerequisite = Try Archery)

 

 

5:00 pm on Thursdays

or

6:15 pm on Thursdays

 

 

Class minimum:  If a class has less than 4 students registered the Monday before the first class, the class will be closed.                                                                                               If a class is closed, students affected will be offered a spot in another class or a refund.

 

 

 

 

Level 1  / Level 2 Class

 

 

 

7:30 pm on Thursdays

 

Spots will be reserved for classes only when payment has been received.

Class Descriptions

 

Try Archery Class:

 

  • 1 time class.
  • Initial class to introduce archery
  • Learn archery safety
  • Shoot recurve bows
  • Learn basic archery skills
  • Shoot at 5 yards

 

 

Beginners Class:

 

  • Learn archery safety
  • Shoot recurve bows
  • Learn basic archery skills
  • Shoot at 10 yards
  • Class will shoot at targets, balloons, apples, etc…

 

Level 1 Class:

 

  • Continue to learn basic archery skills
  • Shoot at 15 yards
  • Recurve or compound bows
  • Learn to score on a colored face target
  • Must be able to shoot a score of 150 on a 60cm target from 15 yards to continue to Level 2.

 

 

Level 2 Class:

 

  • Development of more advanced archery skills
  • Students are encouraged to own their own bow/arrows.
  • Shoot at 20 yards.
  • Shoot with finger tab or release (compounds)
  • This class is designed to begin helping students participate in competitive archery.
  • Recurve or compound bows
  • Must be able to shoot a score of 200 on a 60cm target from 20 yards to continue to Level 3

 

 

Level 3 Class:

 

  • Must be a member of USA Archery JOAD
  • Student must own their own bow/arrows
  • Shoot at 20 yards
  • Shoot for score each week
  • Scores will be posted on the wall each week
  • Recurve or compound bows
  • Shoot with finger tab, release (compound), finger sling
  • Must be able to shoot a score of 250 on a 60cm target from 20 yards to continue to Level 4

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ever wanted to learn to shoot a bow? Give us a call and try it out. All equipment will be provided. $20 for half hour individual lessons. All lessons need to be set up in advance.

 

We will be starting an adult shooting league Sept. 19, 2018.

This will be a 5 spot blue face target league, 20 yards, 30 arrows for five weeks.

 

This is for ages  16+ and all shooting styles.  Compound, recurve, bare bow,  etc.   (No crossbow).

 

Shooting times will be Wed 6-7pm. Other times may be arranged.
